Law 27/2021, of October 25, consolidated text on hunting.

The present Law, which is organized in 9 Titles, aims to regulate hunting in a way that is compatible with the protection, conservation, promotion and utilization of the national wildlife wealth, respecting international commitments.
The text identifies, at Title 2, which are the hunting species: those are divided into regulated species (those that are dangerous for public health or safety or those that cause significant damage to agricultural activities, forestry, habitats, fauna or flora) and species subject to a hunting plan. Some particular cases make also the object of this Title.
Hunting grounds are the subject of Title 3: they are classified into (a) common hunting areas (b) hunting bans (c) temporary hunting bans. Title 4 identifies some areas which are considered security zones: urban centers, urbanized areas and inhabited places and their vicinity; general and secondary roads open to vehicular traffic and the proximity; the edges, lodges and shelters; and the areas of human activity where the Government, upon request of the affected community, temporarily restricts hunting activity by regulations. This Title also regulates responsibilities, precautionary measures and security measures.
Title 5 provides requirements for the exercise of hunting and for the obtainment of a hunting license. Title 6 establishes the hunting season (dates, times and prohibitions). Title 7 describes the permitted hunting methods.
Title 8 establishes that the Andorran Hunting Federation, the Association of farmers and breeders of Andorra and the associations for animal protection and for the defense of nature, in accordance with the purposes established by their statutes, collaborate with the Government for the implementation of this Law. It also created the the Hunting Monitoring Commission with consultative functions. Offences and penalties are the object of last Title.
