Abstract
This Regulation, consisting of 26 articles and four Annexes, regulates the control of acoustic pollution of musical premises, under Law on atmospheric and noise pollution, approved by the General Council on 30 December 1985. Potentially generating activities of a high noise level are subject to the above mentioned Law on atmospheric and acoustic pollution. The Ministry of Environment is the competent authority responsible for these matters. Noise is measured in decibels, according to the standard scale A (dBA). Sound activities should not produce noise that exceed environmental standards, given the reception areas of the sound and the schedules, and the specific limits in the outside environment. Annexes specify the following issues: Activities potentially generating a high level of noise (Annex I); Sound level rating (Annex II); Temporary and night work and facilities in general (Annex III); Public places intended for leisure, entertainment or recreational activities that have music equipment or perform musical shows (Annex IV).
