Abstract
Section 5 is amended by inserting several new definitions. Section 8 regarding the appointment of the Registrar is completely renewed. Other amendments concern mainly the implementation of international conventions such as the International Convention for the Safety of Life at Sea and the International Convention on Standards of Training, Watchkeeping and Certification 1978.
