Abstract
This Act make provision with respect to national parks.
This Act establishes body corporate called the National Parks Authority under section 3. Functions of the Authority are described in section 4. The Authority shall appoint a Parks Commissioner to manage the affairs and the undertaking of the Authority (sect. 7). The Parks Commissioner shall prepare and keep under review plans for the management and development of parks (sect. 10). Provisions of Part III of the Act (sects. 11-19) deal with funds and resources of the Authority. The Minister responsible for economic development and tourism may, on the request of the Authority, declare National Parks (sect. 20). Such Order shall be published in the Official Gazette. The Minister may make further regulations to implement provisions of this Act (sect. 26). The Act is completed by two Schedules.

An Act to provide for the establishment of National Parks and a National Parks Authority; to make provision for the preservation, protection, management and development of the natural physical and ecological resources and the historical and cultural heritage of Antigua and Barbuda; and for matters connected with those purposes.
