Abstract
There is hereby regulated the Environmental Impact Assessment to which shall be subjected all projects (related to the implementation of construction works, installations or schemes, or implying interventions into the natural and scenery environment) that may have a negative impact on the environment. The Law pursues a participatory approach by involving in the open assessment procedure not only central and local organs, but also non-profit organizations.
The Law consists of 34 articles divided into the following Chapters: (I) General provisions; (II) Environmental Impact Assessment; (III) Procedures of impact assessment on environment; (IV) Final provisions. Three Appendixes are attached. All projects and activities described in Appendixes 1 and 2 shall undergo the procedure hereby described prior to approval by the competent authorities.
