Law No. 9093, dated 3 May 2003 on the ratification of "The Agreement on the creation of the General fisheries Commission for the Mediterranean".

This Law ratifies “The Agreement on the establishment of the General Fisheries Commission for the Mediterranean" (promulgated by the Decree No. 3907, dated 30 July 2003 of the President of the Republic of Albania). For the creation of the General Fisheries Commission for the Mediterranean, as amended by the General Fisheries Council for the Mediterranean at its first session (May 1963), at the thirteenth session (July 1976) and at the twenty-second session (October 1997) and approved by the FAO Conference at its twelfth session (December 1963) and by The FAO Council at its Seventieth Session (December 1976) and at its One Hundred and Thirtieth Session (November 1997), this ratification calls Albania as a member of the international community, to cooperate in conservation and management of living marine resources.
