Abstract
The object of this Law is: (a) the just regulation of the issues of property rights that have arisen from expropriation, nationalization, or confiscation; (b) restitution and compensation, whenever restitution is not possible; (c) the procedures for accomplishing restitution and compensation of property and the administrative bodies charged with its completion. The Law is composed of five Chapters: (I) General Provisions; (II) Recognition of the right to ownership and restitution of property; (III) Compensation of property; (IV) State bodies for the process of restitution and compensation of property; (V) Final Provisions. The State Committee for Restitution and Compensation of Property is created for the implementation of this Law, while at the local level are created the Local Commissions for Restitution and Compensation of Property.
