Abstract
This Regulation establishes a monitoring system for fisheries management policies. The monitoring system includes the Fishing Inspectorate and other State institutions collaborating with the Inspectorate. The tasks of the monitoring system are focused on: i) technical monitoring of protection and management measures of fishery resources; ii) continuous monitoring of implementation of legislation on fisheries; iii) follow-up on application of penalties. The Regulation consists of 12 Chapters: (I) General provisions; (II) Inspection, control and examination; (III) Monitoring; (IV) Control of information on fishing vessels; (V) Control of use of fishing vessels; (VI) Management and closure of fishing activities; (VII) Inspection and control activities for the improvement and adoption of fishery structures, including aquaculture; (VIII) Inspection and control of the organization of the market of fish products; (IX) Foreign fishing vessels; (X) Penalties; (XI) Cooperation between Albanian control authorities and European orther foreign authorities; (XII) Final provisions.
