Regulation No. 547 on the establishment of the National Agency of Natural Resources.

This Regulation establishes the National Agency for Natural Resources under the authority of the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Energy. The Agency will focus on the development, supervision and rational exploitation of natural resources, as well as post-exploitation monitoring in the mining, hydrocarbons and hydropower energy sectors. Its tasks and responsibilities are: (i) to consult, propose and cooperate with the relevant governmental structures for policy-making; (ii) to implement the government policies in the mineral, hydrocarbons and hydropower energy sectors; (iii) to review studies and projects in the field; (iv) to promote the rational exploitation of mineral and hydrocarbon resources; and (v) to prepare the documentation required for issuing licences, permits and authorizations.
