Government Decision No. 54 validating the Procedure for inventory of greenhouse gas emissions.

The scope of inventory of greenhouse gas emissions is to ensure: (a) inventory of greenhouse gas emissions using the principles of transparency, accuracy completeness, comparability and consistency; (b) fulfilling the obligations undertaken by the Republic of Armenia under the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change and the Paris Agreement; (c) in accordance with the procedure established by the relevant resolutions of the Conference of the Parties to the UNFCCC, submission of the report of the national greenhouse gas emissions register; and (d) provision of information on greenhouse gas emissions for the assessment of progress in the development and implementation of strategic plans related to climate change. The electronic database of the inventory of greenhouse gas emissions is created and managed in accordance with the procedure established by the authorized body. It includes: (a) data and emission coefficients of all types of activity, as well as the documents that are the basis for obtaining, calculating and consolidating these data and coefficients; (b) documents of application of quality assurance procedures; (c) documents that are the basis of recalculations; (d) reporting tools; and (e) documents on external and internal revisions of the national greenhouse gas register report.
