Executive Decree No. 309/17 approving the Regulation of the National Directorate of Geology, executive service of the Ministry of Geology and Mines.

This Executive Decree approves the Regulation of the National Directorate of Geology, executive service of the Ministry of Geology and Mines. This Regulation, consisting of 13 articles divided into four Chapters and one Table, establishes composition, duties and responsibilities of the above mentioned Directorate, entitled to: a) Cooperate and ensure the execution of the geological policy in the Country; b) Supervise the geological and geotechnical activities developed in the national territory; c) Ensure compliance with the technical standards applicable to geological activity, in cooperation with the Geological Institute of Angola; d) Propose measures of promotion and dynamization of geological projects, creating favorable conditions for the attraction of investments for the Geological Sector; e) Stimulate actions related to the prevention of natural disasters, in close collaboration with the Geological Institute of Angola, with Civil Protection and other competent entities; j) Control the temporary export of geological samples for study and analysis in close collaboration with the Geological Institute of Angola; g) Propose the implementation of policy measures in the geological field, in accordance with the above guidelines; h) Represent the Minister of Geology and Mines when specifically mandated by the Minister, etc.
