Presidential Decree No. 176/14 approving the Statute of the Ministry of Geology and Mining (MGM).

This Presidential Decree approves the Statute of the Ministry of Geology and Mining (MGM). The Statute, consisting of 4 Chapters and 3 Annexes, specifies composition, duties and responsibilities of the above mentioned institution, entitled to implement the National policy related to geologic and mining activities within the territory of Angola; designing and proposing executive programmes on geology and mining; promoting the balanced and sustainable development of these sectors at National level; promoting the quality and the added value of the National mineral products; approving technical regulations related to the quality of minerals, extraction, exploitation, trading and mining safety processes. Annexes list composition and duties of this Ministry.
