Presidential Decree No. 181/14 approving the Statute of the National Waste Agency.

This Presidential Decree creates and approves the Statute of the National Waste Agency (ANR). This Statute, consisting of 5 Chapters and 2 Annexes, establishes composition, duties and responsibilities of the above mentioned Agency, under the Ministry of Environment, which is entitled to regulate the activity of public service in the sector of waste, implementing the policy of waste management, based on the management principles applicable in the prevention of production, reuse, recycling, recovery and disposal of waste, aiming at the environmental protection, economic viability, quality and efficiency of services, and to study and propose legislative, technical and economic-financial policy regarding waste management and contribute to the implementation of laws, regulations and standards, and approval of its statute.
