Abstract
This Presidential Decree approves the merger between the Maritime and Port Institution of Angola (IMPA) and the Hydrographic and Maritime Signaling Institution of Angola (IHSMA), creating the National Maritime Agency (AMN) and approving its Organic Statute. In particular, AMN's mission is to regulate, supervise, license and support the Superintendence Body in aspects of coordination and planning in the Maritime, River and Lake Transport Sector in commercial ports, as well as guaranteeing maritime and navigation safety, directly ensuring the activity of hydrography, nautical cartography, oceanography, navigation, dredging, nautical signaling and pollution control at sea, as well as preventing marine pollution, boosting national cabotage and international maritime trade.
