Abstract
The present Act concerns the placing of biocidal products on the market, as well as its classification, packaging and labelling. It consiststs of 48 articles divided into 10 chapters: General dispositions (1); Placing of biocidal products on the market and their use, registration, research and development (2); Admission and registration procedure (3); Autorisation procedures (4); Active substances (5); Classification, labelling, publicity (6); Register of biocidal products (7); Monitoring and fees (8); Penalties (9); Transitional and provisional dispositions (10). The Annex lists the different kinds of biocidal products used for the protection of plants, in the production of food, of animal feed, etc.
Moreover, the present Act introduces some amendments to the Chemicals Act 1996 (BGBl. I No. 53/1997).
