Styrian Animal Breeding Law 2009.

The purpose of the present Law is to promote the breeding of animals in such a way that: a) their performance and the value of animal products are conserved and improved; b) animal products be of high quality; c) new breeding methods are to be applied promptly; d) the genetic variety is conserved. The text consists of 34 articles divided into 5 Parts as follows: General provisions (1); Breeding associations, assessment of performance, assessment of breeding value, data (2); Conveyance or transfer of breeding animals and semen, egg cells and embryos as well as their use (3); Professional qualification (4); Final provisions (5). Five Annexes are enclosed.
