Abstract
This Act, consisting of 57 sections and divided into four Parts, provides for the establishment of the Clean Energy Regulator and defines its composition and its functions and powers. The Regulator is a statutory authority that will administer the carbon pricing mechanism, National Greenhouse and Energy Reporting Scheme, the Renewable Energy Target and the Carbon Farming Initiative.
