Abstract
These Regulations implement provisions of the Electricity Act 1996.
The Regulations provide for: functions and powers of the Essential Services Commission and of the Technical Regulator; licencing requirements for electricity entities and licence fees; residential energy efficiency scheme; functions and powers of system controllers; powers and duties of electricity entities; safety and technical requirements; cathodic protection systems; etc.
