Abstract
This Act provides for the control, eradication and prevention of exotic diseases in animals. It consists of 48 sections and is divided into five Parts. Part 2 contains provision on: duties upon discovery of exotic disease; infected premise; restricted area; standstill zone; control area: inspectors and powers of inspectors. Part 3 deals with compensation and related matters and establishes the exotic disease expense and compensation fund. Part 4 contains general provisions, among others on offences and penalties and liability.

An Act to provide for the control, eradication and prevention of exotic diseases in animals, the compensation of owners for loss or destruction of animals and property during outbreaks of exotic diseases, the establishment of an exotic disease expenses and compensation fund and for related purposes.
