Abstract
This Act provides for the exploration and exploitation of petroleum resources in submerged lands adjacent to the coasts of Western Australia.
The Act provides for the administration of the offshore area and regulates mining for petroleum including exploration permits, retention leases, petroleum production licences, infrastructure licences, pipeline licences, and for fees and royalties. The Act also provides for the registration of instruments, for inspections and powers of inspectors, etc.

An Act to make provision with respect to the exploration for and the exploitation of the petroleum resources, and certain other resources, of certain submerged lands adjacent to the Coast of Western Australia, to repeal the Petroleum (Submerged lands) Act 1967, and for incidental and other purposes.
