Abstract
This Act, consisting of 74 sections divided into eight Parts and completed by three Schedules, concerns the reafforestation of land, the promotion and facilitation of development for timber plantations on essentially cleared land and the establishment of timber and other forest plantations. The Act consists of 74 sections and is divided in the following Parts: Preliminary; Authorization of plantations; Plantations and reafforestation code; Protection of unique or special wildlife values of authorised plantations; Financial contribution for transport infrastructure expenditure for timber plantations; Application of other legislation; Enforcement and Miscellaneous.
