Abstract
This code applies to (a) each licensee that provides a water supply service, but only in respect of the supply of drinking water, and each of the licensee’s customers; and (b) each licensee that provides a sewerage service and each of the licensee’s customers.
Part 2 establishes that a licensee must have written information for customers about connections and the infomration must be public. Minimum performance standards for standard supply connections are also set. Part 3 regulates billing for water services and Part 4 payment for water services. Part 5 provides for the discipline of restricting the flow of water establishing timing, minimum performance standard, etc. Part 6 concerns faults, emergencies and interruptions affecting water services. Part 7 is on complaints about water services. Part 8 provides for information and communication services and part 9 sets requirements for supply of water to persons with special requirements or needs.
