Abstract
This Act, consisting of 225 sections divided into eleven Parts, provides for water services and the regulation of water service providers, and for related purposes. This Act is divided as follows: Part 1 Preliminary; Part 2 Licensing of water service providers; Part 3 Last resort supply arrangements; Part 4 Water services ombudsman scheme; Part 5 Water services; Part 6 Powers in relation to water service works; Part 7 Powers in relation to interests in land; Part 8 Entry for performance of functions; Part 9 Legal proceedings; Part 10 Administration; Part 11 Miscellaneous.

Entry into force notes
This Act enters into force as follows: a) sections 1 and 2 on the day of its publication; b) the rest of the Act on a day fixed by proclamation.
