Abstract
This Decree sets forth provisions on and requirements for import, export and transit shipment of hazardous wastes, improvement of environmentally sound management and prevention and punishment of illegal traffic. Transportation and disposal of hazardous wastes which are not safe for operations is prohibited. Furthermore, export of hazardous substances to a non-member State of the Basel Convention is prohibited, unless Azerbaijan and that non-member State sign an agreement regarding transboundary transportation of hazardous wastes.
