Presidential Decree No. 759 on the establishment of a new subsidy mechanism in the agricultural sector.

The purposes of this Decree are to: (i) create a new mechanism for financial support measures applied in the agricultural sector, (ii) ensure accountability, transparency and efficient use of funds in this area, and (iii) simplify and electronicize applications. This Decree approves the Regulation for subsidizing agricultural production (annexed). The Regulation lays down rules on the mechanism for subsidies provided to farmers from the state budget in order to support agricultural production in the fields of plant production, the use of nationally certified seeds and saplings, animal husbandry, apiculture, animal reproduction, the use of mineral fertilizer. The Regulation also establishes the Agricultural Subsidy Council to give decisions on the application of subsidies in the agricultural sector.
