Abstract
This Regulation defines the necessary contents, methodology and principles for the elaboration of the assessment of the risk of placing on the market of genetically modified organisms or products containing and/or consisting of or originating from such organisms. It also concerns procedural and technical matters.
These provisions are taking into account the concept of environmental security in terms of risk of the pollution deriving from genetically modified organisms, here determined as final scope in terms of protection from such organisms.
