Abstract
This Law prescribes all necessary procedures and terms for limited use, cross-border transmission, intentional introduction into the environment and placing on the market of genetically modified organisms and products consisting, containing or originating from genetically modified organisms.
The main objective of this Law is to provide a high level of protection of human life and health, health and welfare for animals, and to ensure the implementation of practices/principles of common and/or general interest for consumers regarding the use and production of GMOs on the on the territory of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The Law is divided into XI Chapters and 72 articles, including monitoring duties and offences and related penalties.
