Abstract
This Regulation, in order to prevent and reduce veterinary health risks, prescribes the necessary conditions for use, disposal and treatment of materials of animal origin, conditions for business entities, transport, placing on the market, import, transit, export and approval of by-products of animal origin and their deriving products that are not intended for human nutrition.
This Regulation applies to: a) animal by-products and products thereof which are not intended for human consumption as in accordance with regulations in Bosnia and Herzegovina; b) products which, by the decision of the manufacturer, are no longer intended for human consumption. Exemptions are listed in article 3. Animal by-products are whole animal carcases or parts of carcases or products of animals origin not intended for human consumption, including eggs, embryos and animal semen (see article 4 for detailed definitions of terms).
