Abstract
This Regulation determines several specific requirements for the exploration and use of ground and mineral waters, including the rules for their protection from pollution and deterioration.
Main objectives of this Regulation are to ensure: the protection of groundwater as a valuable natural resource and as main source of drinking water for water supply; the cessation or limitation of the introduction of pollutants into groundwater; to prevent the deterioration of the chemical status of all groundwater bodies; to achieving and maintain the good quantitative and good chemical status of the groundwater bodies present on the territory of the Republic of Bulgaria; and to collect the related necessary data.
The Annex is also an integral part of this text.
Entry into force notes
This Regulation enters into force on 23 December 2016.
