Abstract
This Regulation determines the values of the maximum permissible concentrations of undesirable substances and products in feed, including several related issues.
This text establishes that all animal feed shall be produced, processed, imported, exported, placed on the market and used only when: authentic and of good commercial quality; used properly, with no risk to human health after consumption of involved raw materials or foodstuffs of animal origin; there are no harmful effects on the environment; properly used, with no risk to animal health; do not adversely affect the productivity of animals; do not adversely affect the quality of raw materials or foodstuffs of animal origin.
Section III sets out the necessary measures in case of doubt or in case of exceeding the maximum levels of undesirable substances or products in animal feedingstuffs on the territory of the Republic of Bulgaria.
This Regulation introduces the requirements of the Directive 2002/32/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 7 May 2002 on undesirable substances in feedingstuffs; Commission Directive 2003/57 of 17 June 2003 amending Directive 2002/32 EC of the European Parliament and of the Council on undesirable substances in feedingstuffs; Commission Directive 2003/100/EC of 31 October 2003 amending Annex I to Directive 2002/32/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council on undesirable substances in feedingstuffs; and several other similar amending Directives (for the complete list, see the end of the text, section Additional provisions, point 2, items 1-10).

Entry into force notes
This Regulation enters into force on the date of its publication in the Official Gazette, with the exception of items 37-47 of Annex 1, which shall enter into force on 1 July 2009.
