Abstract
This Regulation defines the specific requirements for slaughterhouses (facilities or establishments for the production of human consumption meat from a limited number of animals). These rules shall be applied to large and small ruminants and to pigs with the exception of Eastern Balkan pig breeds.
This text closely defines the following related topics: list of technical requirements for slaughter houses; health and identification marking; and official controls. The executive director of the Bulgarian Food Safety Agency shall be entrusted with the implementation of this Regulation.
