Regulation No 7 of 28 October 2013 on conditions and procedure for the variety examination, recognition, registration and delisting of varieties of plants from the official varieties list of the Republic of Bulgaria.

This Regulation set sets the rules and procedures as regards the entry, maintenance and cancellation of plant and agricultural varieties to the official list of recognized varieties.
This text further provides for the testing methods for agricultural plants for the purpose of their recognition, grading and registration; methods for the conduction of expert examination for obtaining legal protection under the provisions granted by article 38 of the Law on the protection of new varieties of plants and animals.
This Regulation also introduces the provisions contained in the following documents: Commission Directive 2004/29/EC of 4 March 2004 laying down the characteristics and minimum conditions for testing varieties of vines; Commission Implementing Directive 2012/44/EU of 26 November 2012 amending Directives 2003/90/EC and 2003/91/EC setting out implementing measures for the purposes of article 7 of Council Directives 2002/53/EC and 2002/55/EC respectively, as regards the characteristics to be covered as a minimum by the examination and the minimum conditions for examining certain varieties of agricultural plant species and vegetable species.
