Regulation on specific requirements for production, storage and transportation of raw cow milk and the requirements for trading and marketing of milk and milk products.

This Regulation determines various rules and conditions related to the production, storage and transportation of raw milk.
This Regulation closely defines the: categorization of dairy farms (milk farms); storage of raw cow's milk; categorization of dairies and separate processing of raw cow's milk; separate purchase and movement of raw cow's milk from farms to other sites/facilities; terms of trade and marketing with milk and milk products; checks and official controls over the necessary for compliance.
This Regulation further determines the adoption of the terms and provisions contained in the Regulation 853/2004 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 29 April 2004 laying down specific hygiene rules for food of animal origin
The Annex is an integral part of this Regulation.
