Abstract
This Decree, consisting of 13 articles, creates the National Commission for Reducing Greenhouse Gas Emissions from Deforestation and Forest Degradation, Conservation of Forest Carbon Stocks, Sustainable Forest Management and Increase of Forest Carbon Stocks - REDD+. It establishes composition, duties and responsibilities of the above mentioned aimed at coordinating, monitoring and reviewing the National Strategy for REDD+, recognized by the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change. The Ministry of the Environment will publish the National Strategy for the Reduction of Greenhouse Gas Emissions from Deforestation and Forest Degradation, Conservation of Forest Carbon Stocks, Sustainable Forest Management and Increase of Forest Carbon Stocks-ENREDD + and its successive revisions.
