Abstract
This Decree approves the Regulation on Sanitary and Industrial Inspection Service on Animal Origin Products within the State of Bahia. This Regulation, consisting of 10 Chapters divided into 178 articles, regulates the requirements to be satisfied in order to put on the market animal and animal products, produced within the state of Bahia and destined to human consumption. The animal products subject to inspection and supervision: animals for slaughtering, their products, by-products and raw materials; fish and their derivatives; milk and its derivatives; eggs and their derivatives; bee products and their derivatives. The Regulation is divided as follows: Preliminary provisions (Chap. I); Inspection and Organization (Chap. II); Classification and Registration of facilities (Chap. III); Industrial and Sanitary Inspection of Animal Origin Products (Chap. IV); Family agro-business (Chap. V); Ante and post mortem inspections; Animal Welfare (Chap. VI); Donations (Chap. VII); Administrative Procedures, Violations and Penalties (Chap. VIII); Administrative procedures, Offences and Penalties (Chap. IX); Final and transitional provisions (Chap. X).
