Abstract
This Decree approves the implementing Regulation of Act No. 8.918 of 14 July 1994 on the classification, registration, production and control of production and marketing of beverages. This Regulation (in the Annex), consisting of 23 Chapters, specifies the requirements to be satisfied by any beverage in Brazil, such as: classification, registration and control of beverages, prime materials’ control for beverages and production plants, quality standards, standards for beverage additive substances, inspection and control procedures, infringements and administrative penalties.
