Abstract
This Act regulates classification, production and control of beverages and creates the Intersectoral Beverage Committee. It consists of 15 articles establishing the requirements to be satisfied within national territory for producing, marketing, labelling, packaging, or performing every activity relevant with beverages. It also makes provisions for sanitary inspection of beverage infrastructures, control of beverages' additive standards, beverage imports and export, etc.

This Act repeals Act No. 5.823 of 14 November 1972.Last amendments up to Law No. 13.648 of 11 April 2018 providing for the production of fruit pulp and fruit juice in rural family establishments.
