Abstract
This Decree is composed of nine Chapters divided in 220 articles. It regulates Act No. 7.678 on the production and marketing of wine and related by-products. In particular, it defines the competences falling under the Ministry for Agriculture and the administrative aspects related to this sector. It regulates a Registry of wines and related by-products, providing also a classification of both production units and by-products. Moreover, the Decree defines standards for identification and for quality according to each wine product. Finally, it defines control and inspection procedures as well as applicable sanctions.
