Abstract
This Act provides for the administration of agriculture and fisheries in the Bahamas and related matters.
The Governor may appoint a Minister responsible for agriculture and fisheries under section 3. The Governor may also annually appoint a Board to be called the Agriculture and Fisheries Board (sect. 4). The Minister may make rules for all or any of the purposes set out in section 5, including taking, capturing, or killing any particular kind of marine product, use of gear, sale of marine products, protection and health of plants. Section 7 declares taking, capturing or killing of marine products contrary to conditions of licence or rules to be an offence. Section 10 provides for powers of enforcement by peace officers on board of vessels. (17 sections)
