Abstract
The Regulations concern the conservation and management of the fishery resources of the Bahamas and the jurisdiction of the Bahamas over such resources. The text is divided into 15 Parts regarding, inter alia, the enforcement of the closed season for crawfish, all turtle species and stone crab. Other provisions concern the protection of marine mammals, the export of sponges, permits to culture fishery resources, sportfishing, process and preservation of fishery resources and fishery products, quality control of processed or preserved fishery resources and fishery products, permits and licences. The Regulations contain also specimens of the application forms for the issuance of the required permits and licences (completed by 4 Schedules).
