Resolution No. 181 of the Council of Ministers “On some issues of production and sale of sturgeon fish species and (or) caviar obtained therefrom.”

This Resolution amends some legislative acts and regulates some issues related to CITES Convention through approval of the Regulation on the procedure for registering production facilities for sturgeon fish species and (or) caviar obtained therefrom, and labelling of packaging for caviar from sturgeon fish species. Ministerial Decree No. 1397 on some issues of transboundary movement of some commodities shall be supplemented with the following wording: “The list of documents submitted by the applicants shall include a copy of the genetic certificate issued in accordance with the legislation procedure - in case of export of caviar from sturgeon fish species from the territory of the Republic of Belarus”. Resolution of the Council of Ministers No. 156 validating unified list of administrative procedures carried out by state bodies and other organizations in relation to legal entities and individual entrepreneurs, amendments to the Resolution of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus dated February 14, 2009 No. 193 and recognition as invalid of some resolutions of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus shall be supplemented with the following wording: “Starting from June 1, 2015 production facilities processing sturgeon fish species and (or) caviar obtained therefrom are subject to registration in the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection; caviar from sturgeon fish species can only be sold in specially labelled packaging”.
Regulation on the procedure for registering production facilities for sturgeon fish species and (or) caviar obtained therefrom, and labelling of packaging of caviar from sturgeon fish species establishes the procedure for registration of production facilities for sturgeon fish species and (or) caviar obtained therefrom, and the requirements for labelling of packaging of caviar from sturgeon fish species. Packages of caviar obtained from sturgeon fish species shall be labelled with CITES mark. Production facilities shall be labelled and classified as follows: (a) “A” – “Cultivation in fish hatcheries of fish seeding material", (b) "B" - "Growing commercial fish in artificial reservoirs”, and (c) “C” - “Processing and canning of fish and fish products (including caviar) at fish factories, packaging and repackaging of caviar".
