Abstract
The present Act lays down provisions relating to environmental assessment impact in the Province of British Columbia. Section 2 establishes that the Environmental Assessment Office is continued as an office of the government. The purpose of the Environmental Assessment Office is to carry out the responsibilities given to it under this Act. The text consists of 59 sections divided into 6 Parts as follows: Definitions (1); Administration and application of the environmental assessment process (2); Environmental assessment process (3); Special provisions for environmental assessment process (4); Sanctions (5); General provisions (6).
