Abstract
The purpose of the present Act is to ensure the continuation of the Saskatchewan Watershed Authority and to regulated matters relating to water rights. The purposes of the corporation are as follows: a) to manage, administer, develop, control and protect the water, watersheds and related land resources; b) to promote the economical and efficient use, distribution and conservation of the water and watersheds; c) to maintain and enhance the quality and availability of the water and watersheds for domestic, agricultural, industrial, recreational and other purposes; d) to promote and coordinate the management, administration, development, conservation, protection and control of the water and watersheds; e) to promote, undertake and co-ordinate research, investigations, surveys, studies, programs and activities relating to the management, administration, development, conservation, protection and control of the water. The text consists of 123 sections divided into 13 Parts.
