Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (O. Reg. 389/16).

The present Regulation is made under the Waste Diversion Transition Act, 2016. In particular, section 1 of the above-mentioned Regulation establishes that “waste electrical and electronic equipment” means a device that is waste, that required an electric current to operate. Section 3 deals with the Board’s composition. The text consists of 3 sections and 7 Schedules listing which devices are to be considered as “waste electronic and electronic equipment”: Household appliances (1); Information technology equipment (2); Telecommunications equipment (3); Audio-visual equipment(4); Toys, leisure equipment and sports equipment (5); Electrical and electronic tools (6) Navigational, measuring, monitoring, medical or control instruments (7).
