Cantonal Forestry Law(KWaG)(920.100).

The present Law implements the Federal Forestry Act of 4 October 1991. The purpose of the present Law is to: a) conserve the quality and quantity of the forest; b) to promote all functions of the forest, and in particular its protection; c) to protect the forest as a community close to human settlements; d) promote the management of forestry as well as the conservation of wood and timber management. The text consists of 66 articles divided into 10 Parts as follows: General provisions (I); Deforestation and survey of wooded area (II); Forestry buildings and facilities (III); Forest and land use planning (IV); Forestry protection measures (V); Forest planing and forest management (VI); Forestry promotion measures (VII); Forest organization (VIII); Penalties (IX); Final provisions (X).
