Abstract
The present Law implements, inter alia, the Federal Water Protection Act of 24 January 1991 and the related Federal Water Protection Ordinance of 28 October 1998. The text consists of 62 articles divided into 5 Parts as follows: General provisions (I); Water pollution control (II); Ensuring appropriate residual amounts and preventing any adverse effects in the aquatic environment (III); Enforcement and information (IV); Penalties (IVb).
