Abstract
The present Law implements the Federal Act on hunting and protection of wild mammals and birds of 20 June 1986. The purpose of the Law is to: a) preserve biodiversity and the habitats of native and migrating wild mammals and birds, b) protect endangered species; c) limit damages to forest and agricultural crops caused by wild animals; d) ensure proper utilization of wildlife resources through hunting. The text consists of 43 articles divided into 9 Parts as follows: General provisions (1); Hunting rights (2); Hunting practice (3); Protection of game (4); Damage resulting from game (5); Information and research (6); Enforcement and monitoring (7); Penalties and compensation (8); Final provisions (9).
Entry into force notes
The present Law enters into force on 1 January 1991.
Notes
The present Law is updated as of 1 January 2012.The present Law repeals the Law on hunting and bird protection of 26 November 1945.
