Abstract
The purpose of the present Law is to: a) protect indigenous animals and plants, as well as their living space and environment; b) restore any impaired or destroyed living space of animals and plants or to promote their restoration; c) to protect the landscape against impoverishment; d) to back basic research and efforts to protect nature and landscape. The text consists of 55 articles divided into 10 Parts as follows: General provisions (I); Nature protection and landscape conservation in the performance of public duties (II); Ecologic balance (III); Special protected objects (IV); Protective measures (V); Compensation and contributions (VI); Omissis (VII); Proceedings and legal protection (VIII); Control and penalties (IX); Transitional and final provisions (X).
