Abstract
The present Ordinance implements the Federal Water Protection Act of 24 January 1991. In particular, the Ordinance establishes an Oil Emergency Team (Ölwehr) for the protection of both groundwater and surface waters against water polluting liquids (oil spills and the like). This Oil Brigade is under the responsibility of the Canton and municipalities. The text consists of 19 articles divided into 6 Parts as follows: Purpose and organization of the Oil Emergency Team (1); Vocational training and costs (2); Measures in case of oil spills (3); Responsibility and Recourse (4); Responsibility and recourse (5); Final provisions (6).
Entry into force notes
The present Ordinance enters into force on 1 May 1976.
