Abstract
The present Ordinance implements article 3 of the Fishery Law of 13 December 1978. Article 1 establishes that the Economic, Social and Environmental Office shall be responsible for the monitoring of fishing in the Canton Basel-Stadt whereas the Environment and Energy Office is the competent implementing authority. The text consists of 29 articles divided into 7 Parts as follows: Surveillance bodies (I); Fishing rights (II); Fisheries in Wiese and Birs (III); Practice of fishing (IV); Fishing charges (V); Special provisions (VI); Final provisions (VII). One Annex is enclosed.
